I have been ordering from this place almost every month because the food really tasted good. However, last night, I ordered for delivery for a couple of non-filipino friends of mine. I told them to try the Lumpiang Shanghai first. I was busy in the kitchen but they left me a couple of pieces which I tried. The shanghai was sour and just discreetly threw the couple of pieces out. Unfortunately,I just got a call and both of my guests got sick. I stil give them 3 stars because the Kare-kare, pancit, binagoongan was very good. And service whenever I go there is outstanding. But I wish they would check their food first thing in the morning to make sure they are good.

Restaurant has about 10 tables that seat 4 peopleml. Service was excellent. Food was great. Depending one what you get be prepared to get your hands a little dirty chopping the meat off the bones.

I was completely blown away by the quality of the food at this Filipino restaurant. As someone who typically only enjoys homemade Filipino food, I found this place to be exceptionally goodβ€”even better than many spots in Little Manila. My girlfriend, who is not Filipino, absolutely loved the Pancit and the refreshing Calamansi Juice. I ordered the Pork Sisig and thought it was great, though I did miss having sili (chili) for the toyomansi dip. The only minor issue was the slightly mushy rice that came with the sisig, which perhaps is a subtle hint to order the garlic rice next time! I am definitely planning a return trip to try the Bulalo and Karekare. Be aware that parking is an issue around the area.

Tyang Gelay’s Grill in Woodside is an absolute gem! We tried the Crispy Pata, Giant Bulalo, Palabok, and Grilled Tuna Belly, and every single dish was flavorful, authentic, and cooked to perfection. The Crispy Pata was golden and crunchy on the outside while staying tender inside, the Bulalo was rich and comforting, and the Tuna Belly had that perfect smoky grill taste. The Lumpia Sariwa (fresh) was also a standoutβ€”so refreshing and delicious that it’s a must-order. The portions are generous, the service is warm, and the overall vibe makes you feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back and try even more from the menu!
